OUR TESTIMONY
Russell:
When I was at the age of 15 on a Wednesday night in September of 1982 a missionary came and preached at our church, Bluestone Baptist, in Clarksville, VA. where God convicted me and I asked Jesus Christ into my heart as my Lord and Savior.
On December 4, 1994 through conviction, fasting, praying, and God's Word, I surrendered to the call to preach, we moved to North Carolina August 1995 and started Bible College at Calvary Baptist Bible College in King, NC.
In June of 2006, my family and I surrendered to the calling to become Missionaries to Montana. We are sent out of Meadows Baptist Church and was accepted by the mission board of Macedonia World Baptist Missions, Inc. on September 23, 2006. Please pray for us!
Cheryl:
I was raised in a Christian home and as far back as I can remember I have always attended church. My parents raised me to know right from wrong and taught me about God. One night at my church in Triple Springs, NC, an evangelist was preaching on hell (I had never heard it preached so strongly before) and I realized that I was going to go there if I didn't get saved. So, I went forward and asked Jesus into my heart. I have not always lived the greatest Christian life, but I have tried to do my best.
Rusty and I met at the church where we both attended and we started dating during my junior year at college. In 1986, we were married and had 2 children in 1988 and 1991, a boy and girl, respectively. We moved to Madison, NC in 1995 so my husband could attend Bible College. I joined Meadows Baptist Church in February of 1996. I sing in the choir, have previously taught a Wednesday night Teen Girls Class, work in the nursery, and served on several church committees.
In 1997, God worked it out so I could get a teaching job at Calvary Christian School in King, NC. Our children could now attend a Christian School and get a godly education. I have taught there at Calvary for 11 years. I am very grateful for the opportunity to teach young people and try to be an example for their life. I desire your prayers as we begin deputation in January and eventually make our way to Montana to spread the gospel.
Kirstyn:
I would like to start off thanking the Lord for saving me and for all he has done for me. It was a Wednesday night when I got saved. I realized that if I didn't get saved I would die right then and end up in hell. My mother led me to the Lord beside her bed. And I just want to thank the Lord for putting me in a Christian family. And for my Christian parents taking me to church all of my life.
I attend Meadows Baptist Church where I am actively in the youth group, work in the nursery and in children's church, and I love to sing and play the piano. I go to Calvary Christian School and I plan to graduate in 2009.
I plan to go to a Christian college and become a Pediatric Nurse. Please pray for me as I try to do the Lord's will for my life.
